What is a Pulpotomy?
Each tooth is made up of multiple layers. While the outer layers (enamel and dentin) are tough, the pulp inside is soft and very sensitive. When tooth decay or damage occurs on the outer layers of a tooth, it is also possible for the pulp inside to become infected. One of the most common treatments for this is a Pulpotomy. In its most simplest terms, a Pulpotomy is a baby root canal treatment for children. This treatment is recommended from children diagnosed with Pulpitis.
