PRP skin needling in Blackburn

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma Injections)

Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment (PRP) is a procedure that rejuvenates your skin by injecting an extract of your own blood that contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, CGF and active proteins essential for tissue regeneration and healing.

The procedure is extremely safe, and has been used by doctors for many years to accelerate surgical healing, repair tendon, ligament and joint damage, skin wounds and to also help regrow muscle and bone.

Industry best professionals recommend PRP for the treatment of:

  • Fine lines, wrinkles and other facial creases

  • Crow’s feet, under eye dark circles and hollows

  • Acne scarring and other superficial scars

  • Other sun damaged areas

How does it work?

At our Blackburn Dental and Facial Aesthetic Clinic, we will begin by taking approximately 10 to 30ml of your blood (this will be collected in the same way you’d take a standard blood test).  Using innovative technology by our dental facial practitioner, the platelets in the blood (the good stuff!) will be separated from the whole blood and are then collected in a concentrated sample. We will then apply a local anaesthetic cream to minimise discomfort before directly injecting the platelets into your skin using a very fine needle.

At our Blackburn Dental and Facial Aesthetic Clinic, your comfort is our number 1 priority and throughout the entire process our practitioners will continually check in with you to ensure there are no concerns or discomfort.

The platelets release natural growth factors which enhance cell rejuvenation leading to new collagen, eventually giving you a more youthful and refreshed look.

At our Blackburn Dental and Facial Aesthetic Clinic, the procedure from beginning to end usually takes less than an hour.
