PDO Threads for
Facial Thread Lifting or
Thread Lift
PDO (Polydioxonone) Thread Lifting is a procedure that lifts and tightens sagging skins by stimulating collagen production. This is done by imbedding multiple, fine PDO threads into the skin which then produces an immediate, visible lifting effect (while also supporting natural collagen production).

At our Blackburn Dental and Facial Aesthetic Clinic, all thread lifting procedure is administered under local anaesthetic and there is no pain involved during the PDO face lifting treatment.

The procedure takes approximately 30 – 90 minutes, after which your skin will feel lifted and tightened.
At our Blackburn Dental and Facial Aesthetic Clinic, your comfort is our number 1 priority and throughout the entire process our practitioners will continually check in with you to ensure there are no concerns or discomfort.

At Relax Dental and Facial Care, our practitioners have been trained and are highly qualified in the use of PDO Threads and facial thread lifting.

Please note all patients are required to sign a patient consent form before undertaking the procedure at our Blackburn Dental and Facial Aesthetic Clinic.

FAQs

What are the threads made of?

The threads are made from polypropylenes that are the length of a thread. Once the threads are inserted under the skin, they’re set so that it lifts the sagging tissue in the required area. After a few months, your natural collagen forms and encapsulates around each thread, giving your face a more natural lift. The thread will naturally dissolve in a few months.
How long does the treatment take?
Please allow 45-90 minutes for your clinical treatment including preparation, numbing and post-care.
